Growing Apples and Pears...the Basics
Have you ever wanted to grow an apple or pear tree, but didn't know where to begin? Do you have an apple or pear tree in your yard, but aren't sure if you are properly caring for it? Join UC Master Gardener Darlene DeRose who will cover the basics of growing apple and pear trees.
You will learn how and where to pick out the right tree for you, how to plant it once you get it home, and how to care for and maintain it over time. If you don't think you have space for a fruit tree, join us for tips on growing trees in small spaces.
There will be time for questions and answers after the presentation. No charge.
