Successfully growing healthy, delicious fruit and vegetables in your garden is easier and less time consuming than you might think.  Come join UC Master Gardener Jack Cortis, director of our demonstration garden in Walnut Creek, as he takes us through an informative presentation on how you can create a thriving edible garden using less space and less water than you may have thought.  This presentation will cover a wide range of topics including: soil preparation; getting started with seeds and transplants; utilizing cover crops for soil health; fertilizing; irrigation; mulching; planting times and selecting the right crops.  Attendees will leave the lecture with the knowledge necessary to create their own abundant garden!

There will be time for questions and answers after the presentation.  No charge.
