Raptors

Eagles, hawks, owls and many others, the raptor family of birds are always breathtaking to watch as they soar above us.  But did you know they are hard at work reducing vertebrate pests around us so that we don't need to use poisons and traps that might inadvertently harm beneficial animals?  Come join Jenny Papka as she takes us through the fascinating world of raptors.

About Our Garden

Our Garden is a public demonstration garden of the UC Master Gardener Program of Contra Costa County, located in Walnut Creek at the corner of North Wiget Lane and Shadelands Drive, just north of Ygnacio Valley Road. From April through October, weekly speakers present a variety of information on edibles gardening and home gardening in general.

UC Master Gardeners of Contra Costa maintain the garden and interface with the general public. We encourage you to bring in your home and garden questions and talk with a UC Master Gardener at the Ask a Master Gardener Table (9 am to Noon)!
